RS RESIDENTS RETREAT

May 4 @ 3:00 pm May 10 @ 11:00 am Europe/Bulgaria

550€ Early Bird Until 4th February + Accommodation at RisingSoul (starts at €382 for a 7-Day Package)

Why We’re Gathering

Whether you’re seeking to connect with the spirit of plants, deepen your knowledge of herbal medicine, elevate your plant-based cooking or reclaim skills for food resilience and sovereignty – this retreat is like no other and offers empowerment by learning skills that allow people to take health, wellbeing and food back in your own hands. It is designed to help you ground more deeply into your own intuitive knowing and wisdom.

Wild plants are hardy, resilient, strong. No matter how weather conditions change, their presence can be counted upon as they do not depend on particular weather in order to thrive. This is the meaning of being Wild, not depending on anything to thrive. What amazing guides! We all have hardiness, strength and resilience within us and weeds are great teachers when we have forgotten and need some support to dust off old patterns that keep us stuck.

Medicinal weeds are loaded with vitamins and minerals that our bodies need. They stimulate or restore organs or pathways when there is a disfunction, but they never do the work for the body which would lead to atrophy. So they empower the body to get itself back into balance. They also have a lot to teach us about how to live our lives which is why they feature heavily in myth and folkore.

Is This Retreat for You?

This journey is for you if you want to:

  • Have felt a yearning to connect with plants growing around you
  • Get to know them on a personal level
  • Get to know yourself on a deeper level
  • Learn ancient and modern medicine-making practices
  • Learn vegan cooking techniques through hands-on practice.

It is also for you if you’re interested in eating the healthiest food possible, as weeds give us this gift.

It is especially suited for those who:

  • Feel called to reconnect with wild plants and ancestral wisdom
  • Wish to deepen their understanding of food as medicine
  • Want to cook with more confidence, guided by intuition
  • Are seeking new ways to express their authentic creativity
  • Wish to learn how to forage, harvest, and prepare locally growing weeds in order to regain soveregnity

No prior experience is needed, only curiosity and an open heart.

This May Not Be For You If:

If you’re not interested in expressing your unique creativity

If you’re not interested in getting to know yourself deeper

If you’re not into vegan food

If you’re not interested in connecting with weeds

If you’re not into food sovereignity and self sufficiency

What Makes This Retreat Unique?

This offering weaves together medical herbalism, plant spirit wisdom, and plant-based culinary arts.

Guided by a clinical herbalist and vegan chef this journey bridges:

  • Ancient herbal knowledge and folk wisdom
  • Learn sustainable, responsible foraging that gives back to the earth
  • Vegan cooking classes that cover everything from staples, comfort food, fasting and detox food, fermenting, raw vegan, gluten-free bread and sourdough
  • Practices to express one’s creativity and soul in food
  • The mythic and energetic language of plants
  • Practices to enhance intuition and get messages directly from weeds
  • Reclaim skills for food resilience and sovereignty

Here, plants are not seen as “remedies” that fix us, but as allies—tuning forks that help the body remember its own intelligence and return to balance.

What It’s Like to Be Here

Hands in the soil, herbs on the stove, stories shared, senses awakened. Learning happens through being, doing, tasting, listening, observing and witnessing.

People choose this experience because it empowers the inner child to come out and play.

As thyme teaches us, growing humbly on mountain cliffs, some wisdom requires us to slow down and listen. When we do, we are taken outside of time, into a wider perspective where healing naturally unfolds.

Contributions

This retreat is made possible through shared contribution, inviting both energy exchange and financial support in service of the collective experience.

Energy Exchange

Energy exchange, often referred to as karma yoga, is the practice of offering one’s time, presence, and effort in service of the collective. It is rooted in the understanding that meaningful experiences are sustained not only through financial contribution, but also through conscious participation, shared responsibility, and mutual care. Within the retreat, participants may be invited to contribute in ways that feel aligned and supportive, such as:

  • Caring independently for shared spaces like the yoga hall, courtyard, or meditation room
  • Supporting the kitchen team by helping with clean-up after communal meals
  • Assisting with animal care, including grooming and walking high-energy dogs
  • Participating in garden care, such as harvesting, watering plants, or flower arranging

Through these simple yet intentional acts of service, the retreat becomes a co-created space—deepening presence, humility, and connection. Karma yoga offers an opportunity to step into contribution with awareness, allowing each participant to support the flow of the retreat while cultivating a sense of balance, appreciation, and shared purpose.
