Katie Kalyani is an Ayurvedic yoga teacher specialising in women’s wellbeing and pre/post-natal Ayurveda. She is also a women’s circle facilitator, cacao ceremonialist and Munay Ki 13th rite womb keeper. As a Priestess of the Magdalene and Vedanta teachings she incorporates Goddess ritual and ceremonies into her workshops, encouraging women to invoke these sacred feminine archetypes within themselves and into their daily lives.

Katie is also a published poet and writer of wellness articles and magical musings on a variety of platforms, print anthologies and magazines such as Yogi Approved, Beyond the Veil Press, Femme Occulte, Kindred Spirit Magazine and more. She is passionate about researching ancient poetry as incantations to Goddess and journaling to connect with your heart temple. She is an advocate for voice activation through the healing powers of writing and conjuring poetica.

Her teachings are holistic, down to earth, rooted in mysticism and the rhythms of nature. She incorporates Chakra balancing, working with goddess archetypes and sacred ceremony into her workshops. Her classes are of a sensory nature and steeped in nourishing sweetness, love and a glimmer of magic. Katie enjoys blending yoga, somatics, Belly dance, counseling skills, nature magic and energy healing with sacred beauty.

Her skills and talents expand beyond the wellness world, and when she is not teaching or holding space, she has worked as a social media assistant, artist and content writer for Burning Woman Festival, Teen Yoga Studio, Yogi Approved, Rebelle Society and the Be Woman Project. Her first print publication was issued with Kindred Spirit Magazine, Spring 2021.

She is a passionate travel bug, having lived in Bali, Cyprus, China and Australia, has backpacked around over ten countries and her mother lived in Bulgaria for a spell, whom she visited often.

In her free time you can catch her making dream catchers, belly dancing on stage, writing poetry and working on botanical illustrations.

Katie has a degree in Fine Art, a diploma in Art as Therapy and multiple qualifications and employment in mental health and psychological trauma. This knowledge is a foundation for creating workshops that feel safe and heartfelt.

As an avid traveller Katie has backpacked around multiple places in Europe and SouthEast Asia but it was in 2019 when she went to Bali that her life began to change.

She attended a wonderful 200hour yoga teacher training with Jai Wellness, their program was steeped in Ayurvedic knowledge and taught students how to apply that to each asana, sequence and class. She also trained with The Be Woman Project in Women’s Circle facilitation and recently completed a Priestess initiation training with them too. These trainings focus on conducting ceremonies and sharing circles with emphasis on yoga philosophy, mantra and goddess archetypes. Before she left Bali she attained her Reiki attunements with renowned Reiki master Jo Lewins.

In 2020 she survived an ectopic pregnancy, and it is her near death plus all the knowledge she has acquired from her teachers that made her reflect on life a little differently. In her personal spiritual practice, she works with liminal and alchemical deities. Katie has a deep yearning to bring back the way of the priestess, the forgotten sacred feminine, that temple-like experience. She considers herself a Bhakti yogi and she is devoted to Goddess.
