Born and raised in the South of Germany, Olivia was drawn from a young age towards spirituality and alternative views on life and how to live it.
She grew up being a passionate dancer, practicing ballet and contemporary dance, as well as an avid reader of challenging books about life, death and everything in between.
After moving from her small hometown to the big city of Berlin in 2008, she was introduced to Yoga as part of her dance training. Olivia experienced the physical, spiritual and mental benefits of Yoga and meditation which led to an exploration of various styles and techniques.
After years of deep personal practice, she completed her 200 hour teacher training in January 2017 at Gyan Yoga in Toronto, Canada under the supervision of Gourav Verma. Uniting her love for travel and her love for Yoga, she has been teaching Yoga and meditation in the most beautiful corners of the world, for example New Zealand, Canada, Indonesia and Thailand.
Experiencing different cultures, a variety of teaching scenarios and the alternative lifestyle she always dreamt of, shaped Olivia’s personality, as well as her understanding of teaching Yoga and connecting and adapting to her surroundings at the same time.
While deepening her own practice she was able to work alongside different teachers that have greatly influenced her development to become a confident and passionate Yoga teacher.
Her teaching has an authentic and mindful approach to create a safe and nurturing environment
for students to explore and develop their mind, body and spirit. She is as enthusiastic about teaching dynamic, fast paced Vinyasa flows as she is guiding students through a relaxing, meditative session of Restorative Yoga or Yin, as well as meditation classes. It is of great importance to her to accommodate different needs of students with diverse backgrounds and to create an inclusive and diverse atmosphere, offering a judgement-free space where students can embark and sustain their personal journey with Yoga.
Olivia is passionate about the ability to transform one’s experience of life through a regular yoga practice, as it continues to shape her own.
Olivia still enjoys to express herself through dance, as well as other art forms. When she doesn’t teach Yoga you can find her baking and decorating delicious cakes or painting art pieces. Over the last decade she created various artworks andpaintings, as well as murals, which she gifted or sold throughout her travels around the world.
The art of poetry has special meaning to her, which is often reflected in her Yoga classes where she inspires her students through meaningful poems or stimulating quotes, which makes student leave the class peaceful, yet empowered.
Thanks to a strong background in hospitality and customer service she enjoys making new positive connections to the people she crosses paths with and makes pretty good coffee on top of that.
